I’m a true crime-obsessed, pants with pockets over dresses, sneakers over wedges, iced-drinks year-round preferring, documentary binging, can’t keep plants alive no matter how hard I try kind of person.
Over the past three years, I have been building a meaningful and stable career in the healthcare industry – one that has enabled me to explore creative projects and passions outside of my 9 to 5, not to mention comfort zone.
After years of sitting on the sidelines with the idea, I decided to launch Newfound Sense in 2023.
It’s a place where you can find tips and strategies, how-to guides on how to build and stick to better habits that lead to positive gains, and a community of curious and forward-thinking people who want to become the best version of themselves.
But Newfound Sense didn’t happen overnight…or over a year.
To be honest, I had always fantasized about starting a food blog [so that I could combine my love of food and writing].
But after months of researching and obsessing over how to get started, my perfectionism crippled me and left me casting doubt on every decision I made. That, combined with poor productivity habits, led me to abandon the project altogether.
Near the end of 2020, I tried to start another blog, but got bogged down by inconsistencies and eye-rolling excuses.
These struggles taught me an invaluable lesson, one that changed my life and that I want to share with you…
Start new habits: The practical approach to improving every area of your life.
I’ve learned that my successes and failures are my responsibility, and that I needed to push myself to reach my full potential.
When I took a step back and reflected on my challenges, I knew that it wasn’t a lack of motivation, willpower, or enthusiasm that were preventing me from completing my projects. What I lacked was a system that would arm me with the time and resources I needed to consistently sit down and do the work – whether researching or writing blog posts.
With time, I became fascinated by how to build better habits in both my personal and professional life. And then I became laser-focused on what it takes to make my time work for me and how to live on my own terms.
Through trial and (many) errors, I discovered the power of small and mighty habits. Although I have researched this topic from every
perspective and angle imaginable, I have never considered myself to be an expert on forming and maintaining habits. Rather, I see myself as someone who has experienced the frustration of trying to build new habits and who can guide others along the way.
And that’s precisely why I started Newfound Sense: to give you a newfound sense of hope that you can form new habits and become the best version of yourself.
The topics I write about will help you to recognize life’s defining moments as they happen, and how you can align your choices with your larger goals.
Every day we make countless decisions that lead us down one path over another.
To become the best versions of ourselves, we must remain committed, focused, and make intentional choices. By maintaining certain habits over time, you can reinforce your values, identity, and become clearer on your purpose. I will show you how you can engineer your daily routine to build the life you have always dreamt of.
I am calling on all curiosity-driven, forward-thinking doers, who want to become the best versions of themselves to join me on this mission.
Thank you for being here:
for being curious about who you can become;
for thinking differently about the habits you form;
and for believing that you can change and grow, just like I did.
I look forward to meeting you, learning from you, and supporting you on this life-changing journey.
